About Me
My name is Kylee Howard. I am a journalist from Austin, Texas.
I focus on accountability journalism — with a passion to report on the things that actually impact communities and how. I have served as Managing Editor of UT's official student newspaper, The Daily Texan, where I expanded the digital reach of our Spanish-language reporting and further strengthened the paper's connection to the student body.
Outside of the Texan, I participated in the inaugural audience team at the Albuquerque Journal through the Dow Jones News Fund. In the last year, I did data work and reported on national politics. After finishing my business reporting internship with The Austin American-Statesman, I am taking on the world of freelance while still trying to enjoy my time in Austin, Texas.
